Ride for Life Chicago, riding for Team TPAN
I wanted to do something good, to help a great cause that's close to my heart.
I have friends that are dealing with HIV and I know people that have passed from AIDS.
I volunteered in the past at TPAN doing photography for another fundraiser and I got to know a lot of amazing people.
I wanted to do more.
Like many I had a bike when I was a child but for many years I didn't ride.
Recently I purchased a hybrid bike that changed the way I look at biking. From the health point of view as long as I don't crash it's an amazing way to improve your wellness, from physical form to mental state.
But I wanted to do something more and push myself.
I never did any major rides like this 100 mile that I signed up for.
I'm training riding every other day putting some miles on the bike and feeling excited when I can get out and ride.
I'm hoping I can transfer that passion and excitement into something positive for others as well.
I've joined hundreds of cyclists, volunteers, and everyday advocates like you and me to raise funds that deliver health care and supportive services to more than 2,000 people in Chicago. This mission is to empower all lives affected by HIV and its many health challenges, and I'm proud to help TPAN and its community partners deliver on that promise every day. This cause it's very close to my heart, and I proud and excited to be able to give something to TPAN and hoping you can support me in this cause.
Please join me in the Ride for Life Chicago with your donation or sponsorship! Your support provides lifesaving care.
Any gift that's meaningful to you means so much to our effort!
EMPOWERING LIVES AFFECTED BY HIV
TPAN’s Ride for Life Chicago is the unique cycling and fundraising event to support the lifesaving work of TPAN and its community partners. For more than 15 years, the Ride has been a critical engine of support for our delivery of healthcare and services to people living with HIV/AIDS and related health conditions. In that time, the Ride has helped TPAN deliver care to tens of thousands of individuals and had a profound impact.
The Ride brings together thousands of donors and hundreds of volunteers, cyclists, and advocates to ensure that nearly 2,000 people per year have access to TPAN's care and services at no cost. Through participants' commitment to cycle 100-200 miles over 2 days, our riders and volunteers share their stories of triumph over HIV, their commitment to end HIV/AIDS, and TPAN’s success in providing expert, compassionate health services to individuals and families across Chicago.
