Steven is riding again!
I am super excited to be doing my 3rd Ride for AIDS Chicago. Well, I guess this is "technically" my 4th ride but I had a little hiccup on my 3rd ride which I intend to avoid this year! If you want to hear more about that, it's a good story.
Why do I ride? For so many reasons. The first reason being that everyone at some point in their life needs an extra hand. Whether that be a smile, a hug, a few dollars to buy a hot meal or money for medication, I believe in helping others. TPAN's mission is clear and the Ride for AIDS Chicago is one of their largest fundraisers to help support their clients and the entire community. This year will be a special year because my partner Brett and I will be riding along side one another. So you can donate to me. You can donate to him. You can donate to both of us! But please know, and I sound like a fundraiser for NPR, every dollar counts and there is no donation too small.
Check here and my FB page for updates throughout the next several months (yes, Mark Zuckerberg we still are using FB). We have a lot of training rides and fund raising events coming up before we ride on Sept. 8 & 9. Thank you again for your donation; it makes this 230 mile ride worth all the effort.
Our goal for this year is to reach $600k in fundraising! Every one of those dollars goes a long way. In 2017 TPAN provided 992 Chicagoans with compassionate, individualized care and services. Imagine what your participation will help TPAN achieve for 2018. $50 alone, covers the cost of 1 two-hour session with a licensed therapist.
We all have to start somewhere!
