Welcome to my 2018 Ride for AIDS Chicago fundraising page!
On September 8th and 9th, I will be joining many other cyclists, riding 230 miles in support of the 2018 Ride for AIDS Chicago. This will be my 7th year on the ride and I look forward to it every season. It's a challenging and satisfying way to help raise funds to support HIV services that are so needed in our community.
It is also my honor to lead Team WCCC once again this year. Over the past 7 years our team has raised nearly $100,000 for this cause, and we have our largest contingent of riders and crew ever for this year's ride. My goal for the team is to generate record-breaking donations for 2018! (We need your generous help to accomplish that)
In addition, through my participation and with your support, we will continue to raise awareness around HIV in an effort to reduce the debilitating effects of shame and stigma associated with HIV/AIDS.
The training and preparation for this Ride is nothing compared to what people living with HIV go through on a daily basis. Please consider helping with any amount that you can. Thank you for supporting my efforts. Every bit helps and no donation is too small.
Our goal for this year is to reach $600k in fundraising! Every one of those dollars goes a long way. In 2017 TPAN provided 992 Chicagoans with compassionate, individualized care and services. Imagine what your participation will help TPAN achieve for 2018. $50 alone, covers the cost of 1 two-hour session with a licensed therapist.
We all have to start somewhere!
