Hello all- I am doing another year of Ride for Life. This will be my 5th time and I am very thankful to all of you that have supported me in the years past. That means so much to me as well as the organization, TPAN.

September 7th & 8th,  I will be joining hundreds of other individuals riding 100 or 200 hundred miles in support of the 2019 Ride for Life, we will start in Evanston, ride up through Indiana and camp in Michigan. The next day we wake up and ride back home, finishing with a total of 200 miles.  The reason I continue to participate and am devoted to this event, is that it raises vital funds for TPAN, a Chicago organization that provides support for HIV services and HIV/AIDS education. TPAN works tirelessly to help the community now but they also are creating a better future. With that in mind, I hope all the effort and funding we put in now will also benefit my daughters’ generation, no one will have to live with the stigmas, suffering, and prevalence of this disease. 

Through my participation and with your support, we will continue to raise awareness around HIV in an effort to reduce the debilitating effects of shame and stigma associated with HIV/AIDS.

The months of training and preparing for this ride are nothing compared to what people living with HIV go through on a daily basis.
