Thank You For Supporting TPAN through the 2019 Ride For Life!
Your support for TPAN's Ride For Life allows my incredible colleagues to provide lifesaving care to over 2000 people living in Chicago and important education to over 100,000 individuals across the country through our national magazine, Positively Aware.
The TPAN team never stops thinking of creative ways to help our clients. In the last year we launched:
POSITIVELY AGING, TPAN’s newest initiative to deliver innovative and compassionate care to older adults, ages 50 and older, who are living with HIV – whether newly diagnosed or long-term survivors
THE TEA ROOM, An expanded safe space for at risk youth 18-29 in the LGBTQ community. offering social and cultural outings, monthly peer-led groups, holistic health retreats, individual counseling, psychiatry, and a drop-in space that allows for safety, support, and conversation. Each and every service is free of charge.
PAWS N' EFFECT, TPAN's newest program which pairs rescue animals with qualified TPAN clients who want to experience the love and companionship that comes from dog ownership. Enrolled clients receive assistance with dog food, annual vaccination costs and a new dog owner starter kit (leash, food/water bowls, and collar). Program participants also receive individual education sessions and supportive home visits to make sure that all is going well.
Your donation makes our work possible. Thank you for your love and support -- it means the world to me.
Christopher Clark, CEO
Through the Ride for Life Chicago, thousands of donors and more than 300 volunteer cyclists, advocates, crew, and team members help provide care to 2,000 people every year in Chicago and a lifeline of HIV health and treatment information to more than 100,000 people across the country. Our mission is to empower all lives affected by HIV and its many health challenges. The name “Ride for Life” reflects this event’s powerful impact: every mile, every donation and sponsorship, and every volunteer helps save lives through the work of TPAN and our community partners.
