Team TPAN is a group of Ride for AIDS Chicago cyclists, crew, and volunteers raising money to fight HIV/AIDS in partnership with the Test Positive Aware Network (TPAN). On September 8th and 9th, we will be joining hundreds of other individuals over hundreds of miles in support of the 2018 Ride for AIDS Chicago.
We're participating in this event to raise vital funds to support HIV services in the community. In addition, through our participation, and with your support we will continue to raise awareness around HIV in an effort to reduce the debilitating effects of shame and stigma associated with HIV/AIDS.
On this page you can click on the team button or your favorite team members and make a donation of support. Your support keeps us pedaling from Chicago, through Indiana, to Sawyer, MI - and back.
Here are just some of the ways that donations go into action:
$600 helps provide 6-weeks of group counseling for 1 sero-discordant couple
$300 helps provide 10 Hepatitis C tests, with pre- and post- counseling
$125 helps provide 5 HIV tests, with pre- and post- counseling
$50 helps provide 1 two-hour session with a licensed therapist
Be a Team TPAN hero today! Every dollar helps! Thank you for supporting our efforts!
Participation in the Ride for AIDS Chicago means a lot to TPAN, our clients, and the entire community. Whether participating to meet a personal goal, riding in memoriam, or riding to support a cause, each individual effort is much more than riding 200 miles.
Did You Know: $1000 helps to cover:
- two one-hour group therapy sessions
- three hepatitis C tests with pre- and post-counseling
- 8 weeks of transportation to therapy appointments, and so much more. There’s still work to be done!
