On September 8 & 9, 2018. I will be joining hundreds of other individuals riding 100 or 200 hundred miles in support of the 15th Ride for AIDS Chicago.
We are making a goal of $30,000 but to surpass our fundraising efforts from last year of $26,970.
We are participating in this event to raise vital funds to support HIV services in the community. In addition, through our participation, and with your support we will continue to raise awareness around HIV in an effort to reduce the debilitating effects of shame and stigma associated with HIV/AIDS.
The months of training and preparing for this Ride is nothing compared to what people living with HIV go through on a daily basis. Thank you for supporting my efforts.
Participation in the Ride for AIDS Chicago means a lot to TPAN, our clients, and the entire community. Whether participating to meet a personal goal, riding in memoriam, or riding to support a cause, each individual effort is much more than riding 200 miles.
Did You Know: $1000 helps to cover:
- two one-hour group therapy sessions
- three hepatitis C tests with pre- and post-counseling
- 8 weeks of transportation to therapy appointments, and so much more. There’s still work to be done!
