June 2, 2022

We're 16 days away from event weekend!

Training
We plan to ride 50 miles from Winnemac Park to Wolf Lake on Saturday. The ride route is available here. We will meet at 6:45 am and leave at 7 am. We may also plan a shorter ride on Sunday. The details will be announced on the Facebook group if we do.

Email Patrick at P.lannon@tpan.com to let us know to expect you.

I want to change my ride distance. What do I do?
CyclingSometimes participants need to adjust their ride distances. Perhaps you signed up to do 200 miles, but because of an injury or inability to train much, you don't think you'll be able to finish. No problem! Joining TPAN's Ride for Life Chicago means being a part of a caring community that's coming together to make a difference in the lives of the people TPAN and our community partners serve. The Ride is not a race—it's a community! Let us know if you need to change your distance in the rider survey so we can plan accordingly. Send us an email if you need more info.

Survey
Participant Survey
Now that we're in the homestretch before event weekend, we need you to complete a short survey so we can finalize details. We need to know about food options, lodging information, etc. Please take 5 minute to complete our survey here.

Get a discounted bike fit assessment through Rush PT
Contact RUSH Physical Therapy today to schedule your discounted bike fit assessment inRush preparation for TPAN's Ride for Life Chicago! Bike fits are for recreational or competitive cyclists or triathletes who are experiencing pain on their bikes, looking to be more efficient and avoid injury. A 25-mile ride could be 6,000-8,000 pedal strokes, so improper positioning can lead to overuse injuries throughout the kinetic chain.

During a bike fit, our specially-trained therapist will spend about two hours with you, discussing your bike, frequency of rides and your overall goals. You will bring your bike in to be placed on a stationary trainer so our therapist can observe its current position and mechanics. They will then make whatever changes they can to your set-up and positioning to get you into a more neutral, and comfortable, efficient position.
