Ride For Life Chicago

Empowering lives affected by HIV

10,000 Together in 2020 - ICONS Together Blue

The Ride for Life Chicago is the re-envisioned Ride for AIDS Chicago event that raises awareness and funds to support lifesaving care for people affected by HIV and health disparities. After 18 years as the Midwest's premier cycling event to support HIV care, the 2021 Ride brings together  volunteers, advocates as well as  donors to ensure that Chicagoans have access to the care and services that safeguard our community and support full healthy lives.

This year, in the face of the COVID-19 crisis, our participants and volunteers have committed to collectively reach for 10,000 TOGETHER — cycling, walking, running, and pursuing 10,000 miles or any measure that's meaningful to you! Each participant will choose a personal challenge and set a goal that pushes us to go farther for people affected by HIV and health disparities. You might cycle 200 miles, walk 50, run 100 miles  — completing your goal at your own pace or in your own endurance challenge.

Anyone can reach for their finish line to make an impact, whether in miles or a measure that’s meaningful to you! We will each share our progress, tell our stories, and invite support of our efforts and TPAN’s mission. The pandemic is challenging all of us to be creative and stay strong, and virtual participants from anywhere, at any level of ability, with any personal challenge can be part of our lifesaving mission.

There are no fundraising minimums. Every mile, lap, personal challenge, and every dollar will help keep our mission strong.

The Ride's history and recognition in Chicago's cycling community is part of our tradition, and many riders may still strive for their 50, 100, or 200 mile challenges. But this year's Ride is so much more. CLICK HERE to see profiles of some of our participants choosing creative challenges in 10,000 Together. SIGN UP today.

The Ride for Life Chicago is a vehicle for profound storytelling, education, and empowerment. Through our stories, we reduce stigma and compel action. Our supporters include LGBTQ people, families, care providers, health advocates, and many people themselves living with HIV. The Ride for Life highlights and humanizes our experiences while turning our advocacy and outreach into lifesaving care and services at TPAN.

Our theme, 10,000 TOGETHER, reflects our commitment to rally in the face of crisis, uplift one another toward a finish line, and help our community affected by HIV stay safe, healthy, and thriving in challenging times.

The Ride is also an experience of making lifelong friends.
